Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev conducted an insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring workshop at the 6th Professional Annual Conference of the Diabetes Club of Tiruchirapalli (DCTCON) on 27 Feb 2016 at Hotel Sangam, Tiruchirapalli. The 3 hr workshop discussed in detail the evolution of insulin pump, indications, ideal candidate, different models, unique features, challenges and trouble shooting with insulin pump. Prakash, Medtronic carried out a live demonstration of insulin pump deployment and Gopika Krishnan, Academic Head, JDC discussed the challenges and troubleshooting with insulin pumps. Dr. Jothydev lectured on Libre Pro continuous glucose monitoring and discussed various clinical scenarios. Dr. Jothydev deployed the sensor for a patient followed by demonstration by Suresh, Abbott Diabetes Care.
