The 7th JPEF Annual Global Diabetes Convention jointly organised by P. Kesavadev Trust, Jothydev's Professional Education Forum (JPEF), and DiabetesIndia was held on 10th and 11th August 2019 at Hotel Uday Samudra, Kovalam, Trivandrum. The theme of the Convention was 'In the ocean of advances, learning is power'. Around 1000 delegates from across the globe attended this 2 day prestigious educational feast. More than 150 renowned faculties from different countries like US, Australia, England, Egypt, Singapore, Canada, Oman and experts from various parts of India offered talks by covering over 300 topics in diabetes via lectures, workshops and orations.

Dr. Gary Kilov(Australia), Dr. Pratik Choudhary (UK), Dr. Hossam Arafa Ghazi (Egypt), Dr. A. V Raveendran (Oman), Dr. Nisha Nigil (Canada), Dr. Santhosh Koshy (USA) were some of the International faculties who spoke at the conference.

The two-day convention was inaugurated by Dr. CherianVarghese (Acting Director, Non-Comminicable Diseases (NCD), World Health Organisation (WHO), Geneva). 

Best Oral Abstract Award was presented to Dr. Parameshwaran Ramakrishnan, Cleveland, OH, USA. The abstract was titled "Novel Molecular Target and Therapeutics for Autoimmune Diseases". Dr. Sijo Jose, PG, Department of Medicine, Sree Gokulam Medical College, Venjaramoodu, Trivandrum and Dr. Nishanth Dev, New Delhi were presented the Best Poster Award for the titles- "Prevalence  and Clinical profile of hyperglycaemic hyperosmolar state in diabetic patients visiting emergency room in atertiary care hospital" and " Prevalence of insulin resistance in non-obese, euglycemic and normotensive first degree relatives of obese individuals" respectively.

The 'P. Kesavadev JPEF Young Investigator Award 2019' was presented to Dr. Nandita Arun of Dr. A Ramachandran's Diabetes Hospital.

JPEF started with Fitness Challenge and ended with aerobic exercise workshop. An added attraction was the Diabetes Fashion Show.
