DTechCon 2026, held in Mumbai from May 8-10, brought together global experts in diabetes technology, research, and clinical care for three days of vibrant scientific exchange and academic discussions. The congress highlighted key advancements in CGM, automated insulin delivery (AID), artificial intelligence, wearable biosensors, and precision diabetes care.

Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev contributed through multiple scientific sessions on AID, personalized CGM-based management, and emerging wearable technologies. He also chaired the AID Masterclass and moderated the IJDT Editor’s Choice Symposium as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Diabetes and Technology (IJDT). JDC’s academic presence was further strengthened by contributions from Ms. Sunitha Jothydev, Dr. Arun Shankar, Ms. Anjana Basanth, and Dr. Yaseen Unes. Dr. Arun Shankar presented findings from a real-world analysis of long-term glycemic outcomes across different generations of automated insulin delivery systems in pediatric type 1 diabetes. Ms. Anjana Basanth presented an original research paper from Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, titled “Do-It-Yourself Artificial Pancreas Systems: User Perspectives, Glycemic Control, and Quality of Life in Type 1 Diabetes,” while Dr. Yaseen Unes delivered a presentation on the “Emerging role of generative artificial intelligence in diabetes management.”
