Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev was featured in Deccan Chronicle in an interview by Gilvester Assari, where he discussed the urgent need for a multidisciplinary approach to geriatric care. The article highlighted the importance of coordinated care involving physicians, geriatricians, endocrinologists, cardiologists, neurologists, physiotherapists, nutritionists, psychologists, nurses and social workers.
Dr. Jothydev emphasized that healthy ageing requires more than disease treatment. Prevention, early intervention, mental health, nutrition, physical activity, adult vaccination, caregiver education and adequate consultation time are essential for preserving mobility, independence and quality of life. He also noted that telemedicine and digital monitoring can play an important role in strengthening elderly care and supporting healthier, dignified ageing.
