- Dengue Vaccination in People with Diabetes: A Timely Review

A comprehensive review titled “Dengue Vaccination in People with Diabetes” will soon be published in the International Journal of Diabetes & Technology (IJDT). The paper was formally released during the 14th JPEF Annual Global Diabetes Convention 2026 by the Honourable Health Minister of Kerala, Shri K. Muraleedharan.
The review highlights the increased risk of severe dengue among people with diabetes, the biological mechanisms contributing to poor outcomes, and the potential role of dengue vaccination in endemic regions. It also emphasizes the need to integrate infectious disease prevention into routine diabetes care and to generate real-world evidence to guide future vaccination strategies.
