A free diabetes awareness, screening and treatment camp was successfully conducted at Poojappura, jointly organised by the Confederation of Residents Welfare Associations (CoRWA) and the P. Kesavadev Trust. More than 300 participants received free laboratory tests and specialist medical guidance. Led by Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev and Dr. Junaid Naina, with active participation from the JDC team, the camp highlighted a high burden of elevated cholesterol and inadequately controlled diabetes, underscoring the importance of early detection, preventive care and timely treatment.
During the programme, Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev was honoured by CoRWA for his contributions to diabetes care and research. The recognition was presented by Kerala Health Minister Shri K. Muraleedharan, adding a special note of distinction to the community health initiative.
