One selected Question and Answer

A lady in a wheel chair: I am 64yrs old. I am taking one daonil daily for diabetes. Mt left leg was amputated 2 years ago. My right leg is always having pain and burning sensation.

Answer:
We checked your blood sugar now; it is 399mg%. You should ideally be on insulin injections and I have a feeling that you should not be wheel chair bound. I understand that you have 6 sons to look after and they should arrange for you a glucometer and artificial limp. In this 21st century it is sad to see individuals like you in the so called Kerala with ‘100% literacy’.
