The Kerala state RSSDI Annual Meeting at Kochi was organised by Dr.Rafiq Mohamed and Dr.Anita Nambiar at the IMA House, Kochi. Dr.Harish Kumar, Prof. of Endocrinology from Amritha Hospital presented the success data on simultaneous pancreas kidney transplantation, the first from Kerala. Dr.Rojith K Balakrishnan, moderated the panel on ‘Practical aspects of insulin storage, transport and injections’. The panelists were Dr.Arun Shankar, Dr.A.P Radhakrishnan and Dr.V.Srinivasan. Dr.Suresh Kumar, the Secretary of RSSDI Kerala chapter spoke on basics of oral glucose lowering therapies. Dr.Shaji Khan A discussed emerging role of AI in diabetes management. Dr.Vijayakumar G delivered the RSSDI Presidential Oration. Dr.Rafiq Muhamed officially took charge as the new President of the Kerala RSSDI. The executive committee unanimously elected Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev and Dr.Anita Nambiar as the Organising Chairman and Organising Secretary respectively of National RSSDI Annual Conference 2025.
