On World Hypertension Day (May 17), Dr.?Jothydev Kesavadev, stressed the urgent need for greater awareness and early action against high blood pressurea silent yet serious threat, especially in people with diabetes. In a special video message shared on the centers Facebook page, he explained how uncontrolled hypertension can quietly damage the heart, kidneys, eyes, and brain without showing symptoms. He urged the public to take preventive steps: regularly monitor blood pressure, maintain a healthy diet, stay physically active, adhere to prescribed medications, and ensure accurate BP measurement. His core message was clear - detect it early, treat it effectively, and prevent life-threatening complications and death.
