Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev and Ms. Sunitha Jothydev represented Jothydev's Diabetes and Research Centre at the 86th American Diabetes Association (ADA) Scientific Sessions in New Orleans, USA, one of the world's leading scientific meetings in diabetes.

The conference provided an excellent platform to present original research from India, explore the latest advances in diabetes care, emerging technologies, and breakthrough therapies, while fostering collaborations with experts from across the globe. A key highlight was Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev's poster presentation on, "Negative Body Image Comments May Contribute to Discontinuation of GLP-1 Weight Loss Therapy and Subsequent Weight Regain," emphasizing the role of psychosocial factors in long-term obesity management.

The meeting also marked a special milestone, as Dr. Jothydev returned to New Orleans, where he first attended the ADA Scientific Sessions in 2003 during his fellowship at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. ADA 2026 also offered the opportunity to reconnect with his esteemed mentors, Dr. Sreekumaran Nair and Dr. Yogish C. Kudva, making the experience both professionally enriching and personally meaningful.
