Diabscreen Kerala is a major diabetes awareness project of P.Kesavadev Trust. The Diabscreen Kerala team, headed by Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev, conducts diabetes awareness, prevention, and treatment programs at various geographical locations in collaboration with regional organizations.
An initiative by P.Kesavadev Trust.

The Kerala Budget 2026 announced several significant healthcare initiatives aimed at improving the lives of children with Type 1 diabetes and senior citizens. The budget proposes access to Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) systems for eligible children with Type 1 diabetes, enabling better glucose monitoring and improved disease management.
Another landmark announcement was the proposal to facilitate the local manufacturing of insulin pumps and automated insulin delivery (AID) systems in Kerala, with the objective of making these advanced technologies more affordable and accessible. The budget also included the establishment of a dedicated department for senior citizens, reinforcing the state's commitment to healthy ageing and comprehensive elder care.
Welcoming these initiatives, Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev described them as progressive steps that have the potential to transform diabetes care and provide renewed hope to individuals living with Type 1 diabetes, their families, and healthcare professionals. He also appreciated the Government of Kerala, led by Hon. Chief Minister Shri V. D. Satheesan, for prioritizing patient-centred healthcare and social welfare in the state's development agenda.
