One question and answer
Que: Are there any drugs in modern medicine, which will help the re growth
of beta cells in the pancreas?
Ans: Jothydev: There are several new drugs in the pipeline, which helps in
the regeneration of beta cells. They are called DPP-4 inhibitors. Early
initiation of insulin therapy, glitazones etc.etc. by preventing
glucotoxicity and lipotoxicity will also help prevent degradation of beta
cell mass. .
