Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Center, in association with P. Kesavadev Trust, organized a Patient Education Program on 29th January at P. Kesavadev Hall. This was an awareness program on type 2 diabetes. The welcome speech was offered by Mr. Jayapalan Nair, Director, JDC. The session started with talk by Ms. Viji, dietician, JDC on ‘diet for type 2 diabetes patients’. Ms. Akhila, Nurse and Ms. Aneesa, diabetes educator, JDC took class on Insulin, Glucometer and Insulin pump. Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev interacted with the patients and offered talk on recent advancements like “Time in Range”. Ms. Gopika Krishnan talked on research in JDC. Dr. Arun Shankar also interacted with the patients and cleared their doubts on various aspects of type 2 diabetes.
