JPEF Mini CME 'An update on Gen. 2.0 Basal Insulin & the New Generation Insulin Pen' was hosted virtually on 14 August 2021, from 07:30 pm to 09:30 pm. The program was set off by Ms. Gopika Krishnan, Head, Academics and Research, Jothydev's Diabetes Research Centre (JDC) with a brief welcome. The scientific sessions began with the lecture on ‘Gen 2.0 basal, A new benchmark for redefining glycemic control’ by Dr. Anish Ahamed, Perinthalmanna. Dr. Arun Shankar, Senior Consultant Diabetologist and Medical Director, JDC was the chairperson of the session.

This was followed by the much-awaited launch of Toujeo Cartridge and Toustar. Later Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev, Chairman and Managing Director, JDC gave insights on ‘Time in range: Clinical implications and role of Gen 2.0 basal’, which was chaired by Dr.Madhu N, North Paravur, Chairman, Cochin Diabetic Club. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Arun Shankar. Around 300 doctors from around India participated in this virtual educational event.
