Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre, Kesavadev Trust, and IMA-AMS Nemom organized a two-day insulin training workshop - iSchool Series 5, virtually on 14-15 October 2021 to commemorate 100 years of insulin discovery.

Dr.V Mohanan Nair, Vice President, Elect, IMA Kerala, inaugurated the program. Dr. N. Sreedhar, President, former Director of Health Services Kerala, gave the Presidential Address. Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev, Dr.Arun Shankar, Ms.Gopika Krishnan, Ms.Geethu Sanal, Dr.Ashwin David Ashok, Ms.Remya Jose, Dr.Yaseen Unes, Dr.Asha Ashik discussed diverse topics related to insulin, including, an overview of diabetes management and insulin therapy, insulin regimens, types, benefits and challenges, insulin initiation, titration and intensification, basics of nutrition in diabetes, insulin therapy with OHA, insulin storage, injection and techniques, dos and don'ts, newer technologies for insulin delivery, insulin delivery devices and case studies and discussion. This was followed by active interactions. 50 doctors from across the state participated in the two-day virtual event.
