Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev, Dr.Arun Shankar, Ms.Gopika Krishnan, Ms.Anjana Basanth, and Dr.Sreelakshmi R (Ph.D.), attended and presented their talks and posters at the 50th Annual meeting of RSSDI, in Chennai organized at the Chennai trade center, from 6th to 9th of October 2022. Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev spoke on “Oral Semaglutide: The Incredible Voyage of a Peptide in a Pill”, “Insulin Pumps: All You Need to Know”, and “Automated Insulin Delivery”. Dr.Arun Shankar presented his lecture entitled “Hypoglycemia-Definitions and Diagnosis”. Ms.Gopika Krishnan spoke on “Comparing the benefits of a vacuum-based lancing device in improving SMBG adherence in people with diabetes”. Ms.Anjana Basanth presented a talk on “A Cost Effective Successful WhatsApp Model for Virtual Covid Care in Diabetes”. Two original research from JDC were presented at the event as posters titled “User perceptions while on an Automated Insulin Delivery System in people with Type 1 diabetes” and “Fibroscan as a tool for predicting NAFLD progression in diabetes”.
