Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre and Kesavadev Trust in association with the Type 1 Diabetes Welfare Society organized a Type 1 Diabetes awareness program on April 26th, 2023, at IMA Hall, Cochin. The event was inaugurated by Adv. M Anil Kumar (Mayor, Kochi Municipal Corporation) and featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev (Managing Trustee, P Kesavadev Trust, Chairman & Managing Director, JDC), Dr. Anitha Nambiar (Treasurer, RSSDI, Kerala Chapter), Ms. Gopika Krishnan (Secretary, KT1DP, Sweet Stars, Director of Research and Academics, JDC), Mr. Abdul Jaleel (State Secretary, Kerala Type 1 Diabetes Welfare Society), Mr. Vijesh T R (State President, Kerala Type 1 Diabetes Welfare Society), Dr. Asha Ashik (Centre Head and Chief Consultant Diabetologist, JDC Kochi), and Ms. Geethu Sanal (Chief Dietitian, JDC Trivandrum). The program focused on educating patients and parents about Type 1 Diabetes and its management. The event included cultural programs by children and interactive sessions with diabetes specialists and dietitians. The program was highly successful in raising awareness about Type 1 Diabetes and providing valuable information and support to the community.
