The 17th P.Kesavadev Award ceremony was conducted on 17 June 2021, abiding by the COVID protocol.
The prestigious 17th P Kesavadev Literary Award was won by veteran journalist Shri. Thomas Jacob and the
Kesavadev Diabscreen Kerala Award was won by Padma Shri Dr. Shashank R Joshi. The awards were presented by the
honourable education Minister, Shri V Shivankutty at Kesavadev Hall, Jothydev's Diabetes Research Centre,
following the COVID safety protocols. The distinguished winners and all the members were welcomed by
Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev, Managing trustee, P Kesavadev Trust. Dr.George Onakoor, Chairman of Kesavadev
Award Committee, briefly spoke about P. Kesavadev Awards. Kumari Divya Gopakumar, BA Music student of
NSS Women’s College, Neeramankara sang a beautiful song from the film 'Odayil Ninnu' which was well
appreciated. Dr. T P Sreenivasan, the former Indian diplomat, gave a remembrance lecture about
Sri P Kesavadev. The program was concluded by a Vote of Thanks by Ms.Sunitha Jothydev, Secretary of
Kesavadev Trust. The ceremony was live on Zoom and Facebook.
