Free diabetes screening camp was arranged at JDC in association with IMA Nemom. The camp was conducted in partnership with the Konkalam residents’ association. The participants were provided with free diabetes screening and consultation. HbA1c, RBS, TC, BP, and SGPT were tested. A diabetes education class was arranged at Kesavadev hall. Mr.Jayapalan A Nair (Director of Operations, JDC) addressed the gathering. Dr.Arun Shankar, Ms.Geethu Sanal, Ms.Gopika Krishnan spoke on the importance of glucose monitoring and proper nutrition and diet management among people with diabetes. A live demo of the proper use of insulin pens and glucometers was given to the patients.
